During the Movie Hiatus next year, Heres what I think Hasbro should do with the 25th line since they are giving us a break.
they should redistribute the previous figures and vehicles. give newer people who walk away fromt he movie liking it a chance to get in on the 25th, while also giving the experianced collectors a chance to snatch up some of the stuff we havent gotten yet(I still need 3 more hiss tank drivers :P)perhaps they will stuff the pegs with BATs to appease us. what do you all think? Post your Hiatus ideas

well what i would hope they would do is continue the current style while also doin the moviestyled figures, but knowing hasbro they'll nix the classic styled stuff and we will probably see movie interpritations of classic figures like what they did with the tf movie stuff. :<

It would be silly of Hasbro not to put out cases of the stuff from this year. Think of all the people drawn into it because of the movie.

How about NO hiatus?
I personally think it is a bit of a stupid move to stop this line in what could be a peak sales time. I honestly think if they dop stop it, we wont see it brought back. |

I'm in favor of the NO Hiatus thinking. Hasbro is gambling big time on this movie and movie line. This film will not do what The Transformers did box office wise. Most of the people I know that are NOT G.I. Joe collectors thought it was a joke that they were doing a movie. And if Hasbro thinks it can't screw up G.I. Joe...sales of Sigma Six should haunt them.
To all those that want the movie line, have fun collecting, hope it's a cool line and hope you enjoy it. Personally, I couldn't care less, I want this line ( 25th Anniversay )and this line alone to keep going. So what should Hasbro do? Pray that the movie doesn't turn out to be this years Speed Racer at the Box Office. And hope they don't piss off the die hard collectors ( the gang on this board, "Da Island" and other boards ) 'cause they'll need people like us to spend huge amounts of $$ on the "classic line" |

Every attempt Hasbro has made at making GI Joe a major toyline again from 1994-2008 has been shot down in a Cessna over the Caspian sea, I don't see how this movie line will be any different. Just make self-indulgent collector oriented toys, it's whats selling.

Does movie junk ever actually sell? My local toys r us still has an entire clearance section dedicated to the last Pirates of the Caribbean line. Not to mention all the Indiana Jones stuff that isn't moving at all.
