Nice, I saw that set and thought it would make a great cutter head. Grats.

Great work, I'm still wondering why HASBRO didn't just release Cutter instead of another Ship-shape.

I'm hoping to take better shots of him, ones that are not so grainy. I thought the same thing, but you know Hasbro, if they can bash one toghether then they'll stick him somewhere in the line |

Don't change the lifejacket.
I'm in the USCG and the one you are using now looks more like what we currently use out on the boats for law enforcement boardings. The lifejacket that will be with the comic pack Shipwreck is an abandon ship style May West lifejacket that the US Navy uses. it probably would not project the professional martime law enforcement image you'd want your figure to have. Side note about Coast Gurad Uniforms. The uniform that the GI Joe Cutter figure has is no longer in service. That uniform was the Undress Blue (light blue dress shirt, navy blue work trousers, plastic name tag, metal collar devices, no ribbons). That uniform and the old Working Blue Uniform (basically the same thing as the Undress Blue but with a navy blue work shirt) where replaced by the Operational Dress Uniform (ODU). The ODU is an all navy blue BDU style unifrom that has a tucked in blouse. On my patrol boat we call the blouse a man jacket ;) The Undress Blue uniform was never really worn while conducting boardings we always wore the Working Blue uniform but, Cutter is an LTJG ( O-2 ) so that would fit an 80's era Coast Guard Officer image a little better. Nice work!!! Last edited by nmitchell86; 05-21-2008 at 02:43 AM.. |
