I'm a little biased, so I think your Lifeline update is awesome! Kinda looks like a custom I was working on a while back. All the others are good too. Love the use of Kurt Russell as Deadstick. The Renegades are excellent modern interpretations of the characters. Chameleon loooks....interesting...in black vinyl. Whose head did you use? And Helix is good, too. How do you plan to use her in your 'verse? In mine she's sort of like Ziva on NCIS-an undercover agent/assassin.

I'm a big fan of your stuff, it's a huge inspritation for 12" figure bashing. I would like to see more Cobra's.

Well, it took a while, but here are the final character images for the GI Joe reference bible, bringing the grand total to 313:
Snake-Eyes, Kaboom, Pinchfist Design notes:
Thanks for looking! BTW, I'll be posting JPEGs of the updated filecards (but without the personality profile entries) hopefully by this coming Sunday. I plan on getting the final print-quality PDF document (complete with the Joe team's history, organizational charts, filecards with personality profiles, etc., all in glorious 300 dpi resolution) hosted for download at Joeuniverse.com as soon as I finish writing all the profiles. HISStank member Pyroclasm, who runs the Joeuniverse site, has been kind enough to set aside the bandwidth for my little project so I'd really appreciate if you guys visit his site to get the PDF when it goes up (as opposed to, say, e-mailing it amongst yourselves, but that's cool, too). |

That Snake-Eyes looks awesome. Great job on him.
I like the shoes and pants. Just makes so much more sense.

Great work on Snake Eyes, z. I was worried you'd go for a singular look instead of a "greatest hits" appearance with the iconic character. Is Pinchfist as shrill as Roseanne? Great choice there. Either way, congratulations on the completing the first phase of your ridiculously massive project. I know it was a ton of work and I want to thank you for all the time and effort you put into it. I'm glad you found a place to host it, since I know that was a big concern for you as well.

Snake Eyes looks great-the ROC-style design looks really good on him. Pinchfist, on the other hand, is someone I would not want to encounter in the hall at work. She looks like she could give the team a worse dressing-down than Hawk, Duke, and Sgt. Slaughter combined!

I like Kaboom a lot. You've been playing with his image quite a bit. But he seems like a great addition. Snake-Eyes. I'm blown away. I saw it yesterday and the shoes stand out. But my first reaction is "Running Shoes?" My second reaction, "Damn he must be fast!" I noticed the hollow look behind the googles but your explanation makes sense. He looks like he would be hard to look at. |
