Who was ESP? I only know the Bronze bomber figures from the box set. She looks interesting. P-FUnk and No show look good. Are all these people in your org chart. I guess I haven't seen one in a while so I can't remember how the fringe characters fit in. But with a Airfield/Seabee team, Civil Affairs, more tech support than Google, I'd love to see it.
Awesome work as always Zulu, You captured true gooberness with Scanner. |

Yeah, I wanted him to look like the occasionally informative, always annoying conspiracy theorist everybody knows. You know the type, the guy who won't shut up about how we're all being taken for a ride by "The Man" while he drinks his fair-trade skim milk soy latté (all the while oblivious to the irony in drinking a beverage he has access to only because of the global trade controls that allow for its ingredients to be sold in North America at a reasonable price). Thanks for taking the time to comment! Last edited by zuludelta; 01-23-2010 at 09:30 AM.. |

The inclusion of Burkhart, especially in a reluctant capacity, is *brilliant*. Simon Pegg's talkative qualities are a good choice for the annoying conspiracy theory guy. Nice use of J Kidd. I still can't believe you're refusing to watch the NBA (Durant's game is coming along so quickly). Scuzzy looks familiar, but I can't place the source. Nice to see you're including all the first year IDW characters (any more and I think you'd never finish). I'm digging the insignia as well.
I'm not particularly fond of ESP's hair, though. I like that you went with dreads, I just wish they were rendered differently. It's rare to see a woman with that kind of thick lock and usually they tend to have different streaks of color in them when they're of the brown variety. It's a minor quibble, though. I know you have to force yourself through this portion of the team, but I'm really enjoying it since there are more surprises and minor characters in the support section than the more "fun" sections that it's really interesting seeing the results of you digging in the crates (DJ ZD?) and connecting the dots. Great work! |

Thespian, who's the hottie?
I don't normally like dreads, but they look good on her.

The only dreads we see up here are the nasty kind. The think unwashed looking ones.

I'd wanted to include Burkhart since the beginning seeing as how she was a fairly important character in the early comics, but it was only much later that I started toying with the idea that she could be the resident violent force contrarian and vocal civil rights advocate, to help provide a more comprehensive set of perspectives in the team's plans directorate (which is populated mostly by military and ex-military personnel). This decision was partially inspired by the 2004 Senate Report on Pre-war Intelligence on Iraq criticising the performance of the various intelligence agencies leading up to the invasion of Iraq by US Forces in 2003... just about every agency failed in one way or another in the intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting process at one point or another (done in by personal and partisan politics, "institutionalised myopia," and just plain negligence and incompetence), rubber-stamping what most objective military and political analysts now agree was a costly operation that enabled and empowered the fundamentalist cause in the region whilst diverting resources from more important military programs and operations in the Middle East and South Asia. The one intelligence agency that was mostly spared the scathing report was the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (which actually registered opposition to the invasion early on in the planning process on the grounds of it possibly acting as a terrorism enabler), and this was speculated to be due to the plurality of viewpoints found in the bureau, allowing it to analyse intelligence objectively, mostly untainted by partisan politics or the influence of special interest groups. EDIT: I've updated the dreads. Also got rid of the beret... I don't think Agent Telepathy fans (if they exist) would mind, the headgear on top of the styled hair made her a bit too top-heavy and "busy" around the head area. Yeah, we get that a lot here, too. I toyed with the idea of getting dreads back when I used to grow my hair long (I used to grow my hair about halfway down my back, I was a regular dirty hippie hair-farmer ) but I just couldn't go through with it. These days though, I just shave my head: cheaper, much more practical, and it camouflages my hairline's valiant but losing battle against the advancing forces of the forehead Last edited by zuludelta; 01-23-2010 at 08:18 PM.. |

Nice work on the new ESP hair, z! Slick work disguising Saldana, too (especially from me, because I think she's gorgeous). I just noticed you updated Backstop. I like the outfit style overall (it's the old Static Line, IIRC), but the colors don't match up in any way. Oh, and Cool Breeze is incorrectly named over on your Picasa album.

...yeah, I see Durant is making great strides this season (although his defense is still a little suspect). That being said, it almost pains me to hear about him doing so well (since I'm a Sonics fan)... it's the sports equivalent of seeing your ex-wife get waaaay hotter and sexier with her new beau :P.

E.S.P's hair looks much better. She really doesn't look like Saldana.
And I agree with Thespian, Zoe Saldana is gorgeous.
