omg did anyone see the day the earth stood still? jaden smith was so f'ing annoying. he has done at least one movie a year for the last three years, that is more than some big name actors.
rockie: as far as i am concerned will smith is the only one with any real talent. |

I am certainly not really going to argue your opinion........ Will Smith has been around a long time and the kid not so much.

I did see that film but it was terrible for all kinds of reasons..... the least being Jayden Smith.

I can't believe some of the hateful comments being made about this movie. Jaden Smith was absolutely sweet in "The Pursuit Happyness". I have never been a big Jackie Chan fan, except for the first 2 Rush Hour movies. I'm more indifferent about a remake/ reboot of "The Karate Kid" franchise, because the original was about a high school kid overcoming bullies from a rival martial arts studio. It translated really well back then and kids interested in martial arts. I will probably pass on seeing this in the theaters, but I will see it on home video. My question is; why is that as soon as a movie, originally cast with a all-white or predominately white cast, is redone with a black/ hispanic cast, it's considered "ghetto". I take offense to the idea.

in the case of the day the earth stood still. i felt the trailer was very strong. i like keanu as an alien. because i think he isn't human anyways. but the film was in hole bad. so at least we can agree it was horrible. |

jmc2915, calm down dude. Movies are just movies. Made for entertainment. Now, I haven't seen the the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still". But, I heard the movie wasn't good for r reasons other than Jaden Smith.

I see the kid, but where'd the Karate go?
Looks more like Wushu (or Kung Fu if you want) to me (like a couple others have already said). I can't believe they're going to try to pass it off as Karate. Well, maybe I can since it is a movie. It looks alright otherwise, I'm just really turned off by the title. I hate it when people refer to every Martial Art as Karate. Lame. |
