I've been collecting the series since the start and I'm really not feeling the new stories. I don't think they get the characters right and feel like its almost a complete waste of my money buying the issues each month.
I like the GI Joe: Origin story and the main series has its moments, but I just can't say I'm impressed. Am I alone in these thoughts or missing something? |

I just wonder how Joe vs Cobra will be treated once the big reveal is over. If it's a modern, more realistic take on terrorism, then there probably won't be big giant battles with hundreds of Cobras vs hundreds of Joes. Which would suck 'cause that's what we all want in a way.

I really am enjoying the revamp. The Cobra story arc was phenominal, and origins is nearly as good. The main title was slow going for a bit, but it's picking up.
If you must to a reboot to a continuity, this is, IMO, how it should be done.

I'm sorry...while I understand and even except that MAYBE Joe needed a reboot not that I wanted one, I have to say BORING.
In all of Origins and the Main book I actually like the spin on Cobra but my god nothing and I mean NOTHING has happened in like a years worth of story. The one positive I can give the relaunch is the Cobra title which fizzled as well. See now that book could have dragged out further but was rushed into a few issues. I'm not saying IDW has dropped the ball, but for god's sake boys pick up the pace a bit. You know funny thing is I'm having the same issue with the TF books as well...I have to re-read each and every series to figure out what the hell is actually happening. The problem is very simple and something that it has always been around in comic books. Different writers. At least that is the problem in the Transformers books. GIJoe i have not pick a single issue. |

Nope, not really. A couple now and then along the lines of the Invasion of Springfield and Invasion of Cobra Island (Marvels, not DDP, DDP's sucked big donkey).
But I want more stuff along the lines of Special Missions. More smaller teams with set goals and using their specializations.

I agree with Troy. I like brawls and whatnot, but WWIII showed that big-scale isn't always the best option for GI Joe. I'm for special missions with the occasional large-but-not-global scale conflicts.

For instance, the Snakeyes mini seems to take place sometime before the Ongoing starts because at the beggining of the ongoing Snakeyes is already rogue. |

I belive the Snake-Eyes mini is RoC Continuity, not IDW.
Haven't read it yet though.

The Snake Eyes series is RoC.
I have read all the books so far and am fairly pleased with the direction. With a reboot, you need to develop the characters a bit more than just expanding a universe where we all know what happened to this point. I agree it has been slow moving, the action seems to be picking up though. I, myself would like to see either a Special Missions book or something like they did with the Transformers: Spotlight books

I have only read a few of these comics but the ones I have seen where not to bad. I guess I had no expectations so I have little to be disappointed about.
