Shadowguard and I were having this conversation at JoeCon..
I decided that I was going to be a "25th Collection Completist" as this line has been my favorite toy line as far back as I can remember. To have a complete collection in my mind, means having the following: -ALL 25th Anniversary Carded Figures -ALL 25th Anniversary Vehicles -ALLMailaways (just Doc in this case) -ALL store exclusive vehicles and figures, including etail sets like Cobra Island etc. -ALL SDCC / Convention figures -ALL JoeCon 3 3/4" sets minus oring (2009Crimson and Intl Sets for example) including Canadian JoeCon. We went back & forth on the last stipulation and I'm missing only the Canadian set. I figure these count because they do not have orings and do have classic style file cards. I do not count ROC figures, as they are not remotely close to the 25th world and continuity, despite being oring free. I do count variants such as Yellow Stalker, Black Timber v2 Snake Eyes and Blue Wraith as must haves to be complete. I'll even include the Shipwreck tattoo variants. Does anyone agree/disagree? I want to ensure I've covered it all as I need only the Canadian exclusives and I'll finally have one complete line. |

The Roddy Piper exclusive is a source of debate since the figure is not in the 25th style, yet his card is. Are you including him in your collection?
Also, when you talk about the Canadian set, are you referring to the single carded ones that had the generic card art? Other than those, it sounds like you have all the bases covered |

I'm probably one of the very few collectors that rejoiced when the use of orings was discontinued (hides behind an Alley Viper riot shield). Thanks for the feedback & info. |

I don't really count the Canadian carded figures, as there really is no difference in the figure portion of the product. For example, if Bludd came with different accessories or had a different paint job, I'd have to have it.
As for the ROC 2packs, I will buy them anyway, but I consider these to be updated versions of the characters. I have these odd rules in my head regarding how I classify what's what (read: obsessive compulsive disorder) Did I mention that I buy TWO of everything, at least? |

At one point I had to have the "Tanks for the Memories" Joe Con figures because they were 25th Anniversary. But they were o-rings which means they're not. And neither is Roddy Piper.
The 25th line was all about updates of classic figures. While that doesn't include all the RoC repaints, it does include new RoC figures who just happen to look a lot like they're ARAH counterparts (Heavy Metal, Thunder, Monkey Wrench).
