I went to SDCC this year and ended up quite excited about the cartoon lineup this year. I don't know if you guys follow cartoons, but I counted 15 superhero cartoons this coming year. They include:
1) Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes on Disney XD 2) Ultimate Spider-man on Disney XD (?), written by Brian Michael Bendis and produced by Man of Action 3) Iron Man: Armored Adventures season 2 Disney XD 4) Batman: Brave and the Bold season 3 on Cartoon Network 5) Super Hero squad season 2 on Cartoon Network 6) Iron Man Anime on G4 7) Wolverine Anime on G4 8) X-men Anime on G4 9) Blade Anime on G4 10) Ben 10: Ultimate Alien on Cartoon Network 11) The 99 from Hasbro on the Hub 12) Young Justice on Cartoon Network 13) A new Batman cartoon from James Tucker 14) Thor cartoon next year 15) Generator Rex on Cartoon Network That doesn't even cover the GI Joe Renegades, Transformers Prime, or Star Wars: Clone Wars shows. That's a lot of animated TV. That is a lot of shows that will most likely end up having figures. I already saw figures for Generator Rex at the Mattel Booth. They looked 3.75" and some looked really good. Also, I told a friend about the new superhero cartoon produced by Hasbro on TheHub. And, before I could tell him the name (the 99), he commented, "Oh, Hasbro is making a superhero cartoon? I'm sure each episode will introduce a new character that will be tied in to a new toy." It then dawned on me what Hasbro was doing. And, I felt both joy and sadness. That means more figures, yay. But . . . it ALSO means more figures . . . boooo. What do you guys think?

I'm curious about the G4 Anime shows. The trailers haven't looked good so far, but I'll still try to at least check out a couple of episodes of each.
Outside of that, the only ones I actually care about is I wanna see how the Thor series goes, and I always have an interest in checking out the new Batman series' that pop up. Anxious and hopeful to come across a darker one at some point. And then Young Justice sparks my curiosity. I'd like to see 3 3/4" figures based on the shows. Thor, not so much, considering the movie line should also contain some comic waves to feature everyone's favorites and cover their bases there. That'd be enough Thor for me. A DC line done much better than Infinite Heroes would be great, so I'd like to Young Justice and Batman spark that. The use makes sense. But overall, I'm anxious for these shows to start up.

Yes, mpore animated shows = more toys. But if they look like the Brave and Bold figures or the Wolverine and the Xmen figures then they all be easy passes.

I am looking foward to all new animated shows. I guess I'll have set my DVR to catch most of them. I am curious see what kind of direction a Thor animated series would be like since he really hasn't had a show like Iron Man or the X-men before.

my fingers are crossed that the Young Justice figures are 3 3/4 and hope they do the 16 featured JL characters also.

This is *good* news??? There's already too many super hero toys clogging the pegs.
Excited over Ben 10? Ok, I'm really confused now. |

There's no gurantee all or even any of these shows will get toylines. And no gurantee that it will be toylines people want to buy.
Look how long it took to get Ben 10 toys, and that show has been around for years. Also, are people really buying up the Secret Saturdays toys? Was the Wolverine and the X-Men animated toyline really that popular? Iron Man: Armored Adventures that popular?

This thread was mainly aimed at pointing out that there are 15 super hero cartoons coming out within the next year. Also, a friend reminded me that Green Lantern is also in production.
