Patton, without a doubt.
Hmm, explanation. Mostly because he was such a crazy sunnova beach. Previous lives, recalling pasts he remembered. The fact that he was right about a great many things (Russia for one). His speech at the beginning, words really don't describe how you feel after watching that. I'd run through a brick wall for the man. Honorable mention R. Lee Ermey's character in Full Metal Jacket. His speech, the drilling of the new recruits, great. The training half of that movie is probably one of the best movies ever made. Last edited by BigFore; 03-26-2010 at 07:09 AM.. |

The Thin Red Line.
WWII, luscious backgrounds, countries involved, poetry, great actors (e.g. Penn, Reilly, Harrelson, Brody, Chaplin, Cusack, Nolte, Koteas, Clooney), Terrence Malick |

The Longest Day.
That had EVERYBODY in it! Sure it's old school, but it's good. Saving Private Ryan- Just for the Realism alone. Platoon- To me this really raised the bar for all war movies. |

In my opinion tears of the sun,to me it is a great depiction of what is really going on in that part of africa plus the acting is great and the realism of the seal teams is truly great and very accurate to the real training

Band of Brothers as a series is better than any movie and then the hurt locker.
