I have'nt watched the Burton Batman in ages...I usually watch a movie, or a bit of it before I go to sleep.
So I saw it and popped it in. I think because Dark Knight has been the rage for awhile now and Bale has become kinda synonomous with Batman, we..or atleast I forgot how damn cool Keaton's was. Even before the Joker "transformation"....Nicholson's Jack Napier is the epitome of "gangster!".....the scene with Eckhardt pulling the gun on Jack and Bob going over his shoulder..."better be sure!"...sick. Just had to show some love here...glad theres a Keaton/Batman bust comming out now too! |

You're right.
"Batman" is an excellent Batman movie. I remember seeing it for the first time. It's one of the reasons why I consider '89 the best year for movies. |

Thanks to Schumacker, folks pretend that all the Batman films before Begins were crap. Sure Forever, and Batman and Robin were awfull, but that didn't have to mean we pretend the first two never existed.
As far as I'm concerned, the first two films were excellent and cemented Keaton as Batman for me. Christian Bale is hard for me to take. Too much pouting as Wayne, and too much screeching as Batman. My dream is that one day they make Batman the Dark Knight Returns into a feature film and get Michael Keaton to come back as the aged Bruce Wayne.

The first two Batman movies are still the best in my view.

I could not agree more about the awesomeness of the 1989 Batman. Not to mention the Keaton batmobile is by far the sexiest bat vehicle of all time.

Everyone remembers Tim Burton's take(s) on Batman. Excellent work IMO.

That would be cool, but I always pictured Mickey Rourke as the Dark Knight Returns Batman.
