Just got back from Sherlock Holmes, definitely worth paying for and seeing at the theater.
Best Film since the new Star Trek, IMO. Go see it you won't be disappointed.

May I ask for a bit of elaboration on this point?
I love movies, but I practically have to get a hard-on to go to the theater. I want to see this movie, but I don't want to go to the theater to see it. Like most movies, I decided I'll see it when it comes out on DVD or OnDemand. What makes this movie more enjoyable by seeing it in the theater? |

I can't be as enthusiastic as Zartanman about the movie and I'm into Steampunk/Dieselpunk, but it was a great movie. I liked Batman Returns a lot better, I walked out of BR and felt like I had been taken on a ride. SH was quite the same experience. The acting, action, and cinematography were good. I can't wait to get it on Blu-Ray and see all of the detail of London. I'd recommend going to see it, but it might have been over-hyped. Then again, I think Guy Ritchie is over-yped.

Does the movie suck, or not? |

I think he meant to say Batman Begins, not Batman Returns?
Not sure about recommending to go see it and then saying that it was overhyped. Overhyped usually means "it's not as good as they say".

Im seeing this either tonight or tomorrow, and I hope it has nothing to do with goofy-ass steampunk.

The movie looks great. I hope to see it over the Christmas Holiday.
