it's one of my favorites. im pretty sure i have it on dvd.
the photos comment was about screenshots of the channel in other online forums - they'd have the thing among other movies. not really what they were originally advertising about the channel. when i finally found it yesterday andromeda strain was playing (and i probably should have watched it, but i was working; newer than 30's and 40's horror movies. i was hoping it would lead to a more "on demand" for the movies, making it easier to go to a streaming service with the channel and then select dracula and then be good for an hour. |

300: Rise of an Empire
Not as good as the first film and they took a LOT of artistic licence with the character of Artemisia. Eva Green does get her boobs out, which is to be expected. Lead actor didn't have quite the same presence of Gerard Butler in the first movie. Battles were pretty cool, but difficult to see what was happening, in some scenes.

Physical media ownership, either through things like DVD releases or other means, is entirely underrated. The world shouldn't be dependent on some jerk at Disney to be able to watch things like M*A*S*H without the laugh track (As it was intended!). WKRP episodes shouldn't be cut/edited because the current owner can't be bothered to pay some other mega-corp for the rights to music that was part of the episode when it aired.

Scream 6
Saw it was available on Paramount, so I decided to watch it tonight, instead of moving on to the next era of my historical watchlist. I have to say... I didn't enjoy it. The villains felt a bit sammy, being related to people of a previous movie (i.e. Billy's Mom in part 2 and Roman in part 3). Also, the acting and dialogue was terrible, with the exception of Jenna Ortega. I HATE these new kids in the past two films, especially Sam, but Mindy and Chad are obnoxious, as well. I'm glad that Sam was fired from part 7 (although less glad that Ortega walked, but that's to be expected) and am looking forward to Neve Campbell returning. Hopefully, they'll leave Mindy and Chad out of this one, too. EDIT: I forgot Jill, in part 4... also related to people from a previous film.

Godzilla (1954) Still the greatest, though Minus One put in a darn good attempt at equaling it.

I often wonder, given streaming's struggles with profitability and inevitable descent into advertising-based revenue, and those ads inevitably annoying the streaming customers, surely companies and people are beginning to regret the streaming switch? But maybe I'm just weird. |

Rome, season one
A truly fantastic show and it's a shame that we not only got only two seasons, but that they had to rush through the second season and basically combine two seasons worth of material into one. Not a badly acted role in the bunch, especially Kevin Kidd, Ray Stevenson (RIP), Ciar?n Hinds, the kid that played Octavian, Polly Walker, and James Purefoy, whose portrayal of Marc Antony is my favourite of the series.
