Watched "The Nowhere Inn" (2021). Three times. Now, admittedly, it is impossible for me to review this movie objectively (and won't even pretend to try), since the subject/star of the film is my favourite person in the history of ever. So I'll just briefly summarise the plot ...
"The Nowhere Inn" is a concert film/"mockumentary" starring singer/songwriter/superstar St. Vincent. In the movie, Carrie Brownstein is directing a "candid portrait" of the "real" St. Vincent. But when the singer's "true self" (Annie Clark) turns out to be a bit boring (as if), Brownstein goads Clark into playing a "heightened version" of herself instead. However, the scheme backfires badly, as this new hybrid persona develops into an increasingly arrogant/mean-spirited monster. The resulting film is somewhat akin to "The Souvenir" by Joanna Hogg (one of 2019's best movies) or even "Kate Plays Christine" (2016). Only much lighter in tone (even bordering on zany at times) than either of those two. Plus, obviously, with more (and better) music.

Did NOT see "Dear Evan Hansen" (2021). Had planned to go with my colleagues Friday night, but was forced to cancel last moment due to a massive migraine. BTW, that movie must be even worse than it looks (which hardly seems possible), since two people texted me essentially the exact same joke: "You dodged a bullet tonight." & "I def think you got the better of the deal."
At any rate, I spent most of the weekend watching a marathon of "Paranormal Caught on Camera".
