I don't get horror, what on earth do people see in it? Its just weird, this was very well made, but still weird. |

Mortal Kombat
Really enjoyed it, I went in with no expectations after I heard the Cole Young character was made specifically for the movie. But I like how his role panned out, and I really loved how they built him up and why he was in the movie. The things they did to set up a sequel, and stayed true to the first game, Sonya/Kano and Kung Lao. The only thing I didnt like was the inclusion of Nitara so soon. |

Thank you for the recommendation. Somehow must have missed that one, even though I'm a fan of Cillian Murphy (due to "Peaky Blinders"). But I have, however, seen "Little Miss Sunshine" (which was brilliant). Plus "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is my all-time favourite movie. So I'm fairly optimistic I'll like your suggestion as well.

Saw "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" (2021).
This animated film about a "sleep demon" possessing a train is, apparently, enormously popular in Japan and among fans of "manga". However, being neither (Japanese nor a fan of manga), the movie seemed choppy and made little sense to me. My younger brother, meanwhile, thought it was "great", and is certainly more qualified to judge. BTW, just to clarify, he isn't intellectually disabled*. Would NEVER refer to him (or anyone) as an "idiot" if he (or they) were. He only lives with me for college/covid-related reasons. *At least in terms of an official diagnosis

Today im watching the behind the scenes bonus features of the 4K blu ray 30/35th anniversary of Jim Henson's Labyrinth a classic movie i grew up with back then.
Jim Henson I still think he was 100 times way ahead of people and technology when it came to movie making. the stuff that he came up with Dark Crystal, Fraggle Rock and Labyrinth still impress me. |
