If you ever want to go down the rabbit hole of bad movies that are great to laugh at, check out the Lifetime movie network, and look for "The Wrong ..." series, each with a cameo by Vivica A Fox.
My favorite is "The Wrong Cheerleading Coach." EDIT: Holy Crap!!! I just IMDb'd it. There are 22 of those "The Wrong ..." Movies!!! I've only seen 2. |

It seems like the kinda film that wouldn't care why you were laughing, actually. Quote:
Here are some of the movies I watched the past few months, and my ratings (on a scale from 1-10).
Spiral - 5 Wonder Woman 1984 - 7 The Dark and the Wicked - 5 The Beach House - 4 Black Bear - 6 The night Before - 7 Die Hard - 7 Happiest Season - 5 The Owners - 7 The Argument - 5 Ghost stories - 6 Triggered - 3 Over the Moon - 6 Spree - 6 Antebellum - 7 Hubie Halloween - 3 Save Yourselves - 5 Z - 5 Blood Quantum - 6 The Babysitter Killer Queen - 7 Alone - 6 1 BR - 5 The Baby Sitter - 7 Bacurau - 7 My wife loves horror films, which is why 3/4 of these are horror. Also, it's getting harder and harder to find good films during this pandemic.

I know "Fatale" (2020) is being called a moronic "Fatal Attraction" rip-off, though to be perfectly fair, it rips off a bunch of other movies as well. I counted at least 12, in fact. Almost all of which were much better. Even most of the bad ones (such as "Chloe") were better. (BTW, how desperate does a screenwriter have to be to borrow plot elements from "Swimfan"?)
Okay, so a successful sports agent has a drunken one-night stand with a hateful stereotype played by Hilary Swank. But the seemingly innocuous affair comes back to haunt him and his wife (also a negative stereotype) in ways that will shock/surprise you ... assuming you were born in a cave and never had any contact with the outside world. (Wait, then how are you seeing this movie? Or even reading this?) While there's the obvious subtext of white police targeting black people, the film is hardly a serious exploration of the issue. In fact, it's hardly a film at all, actually. Basically just a dreary parade of tired tropes, really. Oh, and did I mention the women are stereotypes? PS One time, I discovered my grandmother had never heard of duct tape. How is that possible?
