You didn't like Ernie Hudson? I thought he was great. In the same way that Curry played the "Peter Lorre" role, Hudson's character gave off a cool "old school Hollywood hero" Clark Gable-ish sorta vibe, imo. Plus that line about being a "great white hunter, only black" was pretty fierce.

It seems like the kinda film that wouldn't care why you were laughing, actually.

My wife loves horror films, which is why 3/4 of these are horror. Also, it's getting harder and harder to find good films during this pandemic.

Man, and I thought I saw alot of obscure movies. I'll have to check out this list more closely as soon as I wake up (because half of them don't ring a bell at all). I have seen Antebellum & WW84 (speaking of rabbit holes to avoid going down), and was not a fan. Saw "Die Hard", too, of course. As well as "Bacurau" (I think).

I know "Fatale" (2020) is being called a moronic "Fatal Attraction" rip-off, though to be perfectly fair, it rips off a bunch of other movies as well. I counted at least 12, in fact. Almost all of which were much better. Even most of the bad ones (such as "Chloe") were better. (BTW, how desperate does a screenwriter have to be to borrow plot elements from "Swimfan"?)

Okay, so a successful sports agent has a drunken one-night stand with a hateful stereotype played by Hilary Swank. But the seemingly innocuous affair comes back to haunt him and his wife (also a negative stereotype) in ways that will shock/surprise you ... assuming you were born in a cave and never had any contact with the outside world. (Wait, then how are you seeing this movie? Or even reading this?)

While there's the obvious subtext of white police targeting black people, the film is hardly a serious exploration of the issue. In fact, it's hardly a film at all, actually. Basically just a dreary parade of tired tropes, really. Oh, and did I mention the women are stereotypes?

PS One time, I discovered my grandmother had never heard of duct tape. How is that possible?
