Poltergeist (2015) - Two bits of info first off: 1. I loved the original, and 2. I think all horror movies these days are lousy. That being said, I had fun watching this one just because it had enough of the spirit of the original to keep me entertained. Sam Rockwell was really likable as the dad, much like Craig T. Nelson (one of the most criminally under-utilized actors ever) was. Other than that, it moved along quickly and I liked Jared Harris' part. But it could never be as iconic as the original. The parts with the shadows were clever, but the walls covered in the dead cgi things just took me out of the movie. We shouldn't have cgi that bad now. It looked like something from the Mummy Returns.
