I'm in the middle of thor the dark world, and I can't get into this movie. It seems like some movies have the hero be a hero because of a woman, or because he has to save her. Be a hero because that's what you are, that's what your gift is, and that's what you were born to do and be. Plus, it has a mixture of star wars, and the one villain looks like a Predator. sheesh.

Thor II ruled.
my last was Gravity. Extremely overrated in my book. Good but nothing to wet your pants over. |

Maybe it's an Ohio thing, because I thought Thor II was just awful too. The ending makes the whole movie especially pointless.
And I thought Gravity was one of the best movies last year. But only in a theater. Seeing it on a huge screen, in 3D, was an actual event. But I won't be buying the blu ray because I know it just won't compare. |

Non-Stop - Better than I thought it would be. Based on the trailer I thought would be as bad as Taken 2. But I ended up liking the second half of the movie. It makes for a good reason to get out and trudge through all this damn snow, but I doubt it would do anything at all if it had been released during the summer.

Hannibal - Not the movie, but the tv series (though with the actors and quality of the production, it may as well be a movie). The second season premiere to be exact. The first season was the single best season of any tv show that I've ever seen, and the start of the second season has lived up to it. I'm not even a fan of the movies really, other than "Manhunter". But Mads Mikklesen is the best actor on tv and Hugh Dancy is perfect as Will Graham. For anyone that hasn't seen it yet, pick up the first season.

Hellboy II - More fun than ever to watch. Ron Perlman is just perfect in the role. Seeing him laugh always cracks me up. I really wish Del Toro would make a third one. I think I read last year when Pacific Rim was out that he's open to the idea again. His movies are always amazing. They should let him make a Star Wars spin-off movie. Give him some random Sith or something.

The last I read, he's still planning on doing JLA Dark. I don't even know much about a lot of the characters involved, but I'd love to see it for Deadman and (hopefully) Swamp Thing alone.
