Pale Rider - Still my favorite western. The funny thing is, tonight I let the credits play just because it was showing the mountains that the Preacher rode off into, instead of fading to black. There really aren't many credits to the movie at all, and it never went black. It just kept zooming in on the mountain, until eventually it went up above it and showed sunlight in the sky. So that made me think that the Preacher was really an angel. According to the imdb trivia, Clint confirmed in interviews that he was indeed a ghost. The blu ray is a hell of an upgrade from the dvd. It'll never look like Avatar, but it's as good as it can look.

Winter's Bone - Good god was this depressing. Not just the plot, but the knowledge that people actually live like that. Easily a movie that I'll never watch again. I might have to start a blu-ray trade thread soon.

Dallas buyers club(Mathew mcConaughey should give Leo DiCaprio a run for his money at the Oscars this year,he turns in a memorably polished and heartfelt performance as Ron Woodruff in this drama based on a true story....also worth mentioning is the convincing and rounded performance of Jared leto back after a four year hiatus from acting).......................the wolf of wall street(Leo DiCaprio pulls out all the stops as he becomes Jordan belfort ,a man who was ....ahem..."financially creative" with other people's money,a drug addicted meglomaniac of monstrous proportions, who at times must have thought he was a demi-God,as he swindled others fortunes to build his own, with a career best performance from Jonah hill as belforts right hand man ....the equally drug addicted Donny azoff and with the superior direction of Martin Scorsese ,I thought this movie was outrageously superb.
