Anyway, my last movie: Green Lantern - I've been a huge Green Lantern fan my whole life, so I just loved this movie. I don't get the hate for it. I can understand people thinking it's boring, or not liking the fact that his whole power is based on willpower. But that's how the character has always been. It's the whole point of the character. But actually hating it? I just don't get it. It's a fun, good translation of the comics. Yeah, I would have preferred Hal to be fearless, rather than overcoming fear, but it made him more human. And I think the costume was great. It worked much better for the film than the wetsuit look he has in the comics. If nothing else, it was a good movie to establish the character for the movie going public. I was hoping we'd get a sequel but it's kind of unlikely. Now that he is set up though, he could easily appear in a future Superman or Justice League movie, since he would fit into their universe without any problem. It would be great to see Superman ask Hal where the Green Lanterns were when Krypton was dying. My biggest wish would be to see a Green Lantern and Flash team up movie. |

Side Effects - A psychological thriller starring Jude Law, Rooney Mara, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and one of the Tank's favorites Channing Tatum.
Savages- A film directed by Oliver Stone that's about pot dealers who get involved with a drug cartel. It stars Benicio Del Torro, Salma Hayek, John Travolta, Blake Lively, and Taylor Kitsch. Ted - This a buddy flick that's about a bromance between a man and his teddy bear that has actually become alive. Diner - A dramedy about Baltimore friends that are coming to grips with the reality of having to grow up and shoulder life's responsibilities. It also has a great cast with notables such as Kevin Bacon, Steve Guttenberg, Mickey Rourke, Ellen Barkin, Daniel Stern. Paul Reiser, and Tim Daly. The Hunter - A good little movie about a guy sent in to find a long-thought extinct animal in Tasmania. Willem Dafoe is the star and is really great in the role. A good diversion from most of the loud crap that I like to watch.
