The theatrical (and original DVD) release was very different. It had some important parts cut and as such parts of it made little or no sense. Also, some people don't like the casting, some don't like the way Bullseye was portrayed. There will always be haters. The theatrical release was poor. Most people remember that and aren't interested in seeing the directors cut, because they don't know that is it FAR better. - Ian |

Ramona and Beezus-As much as I loved these books as a kid, I don't know why they changed some of it around...their little sister Roberta wasn't born until the third to last book!
ETA (7-29)-"Shakespeare ReTold: MacBeth"-Yes, I watched it for tha Toby. But it doesn't top "Scotland, PA"...maybe because that one also made fun of the '70s. ETA 2 (7-30)-"Control", Ian Curtis biopic, one part where I'm pervishly giggling...but I'm not sayin'.

Over the last few days I watched:
From Paris with Love - Excellent action film. Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief - kids film, teens would like it, it was a bit too Harry Potter for my taste. Assault Girls - styled like an MMORPG. Actually like watching someone play a crappy Korean MMO. Lots of grinding and waiting for something to happen, but it never really does. Saint John of Las Vegas - kind of out there film, really good, clever and somewhat original. Quigley Down Under - Hooray for Tom Selleck. Mutant Vampire Zombies From The Hood - even if you somehow find a release of this film, don't bother. C to the R to the mother fu&*ing AP. Lots of others, but that's all I remember. |
