I'm watching Babylon AD on Tubi right now and its been a long time since I've seen the movie. the story doesn't make much sense where Toorop is supposed to take the chosen one girl to the United States but there's like one or two groups of people that are trying to prevent them from going to the US or whatever.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Seasons 1-7 (1970-1977) - Took a while to make it through all 168 episodes and it ended a little weaker than it started, but overall worth it. Great cast. Fun watching the fashion evolve from end of sixties into late seventies as the series progressed. My first time through the series and I don't expect to re-watch, but the writing and performances were mostly very funny and held up over time.

The Last of Us: Season 2, episode 1. I only know this show from season 1. Never played the game. It was good continuation so far.

Witness (1985) That film where Harrison Ford is a detective who gets involved with a group of outsiders and develops feelings for one of them, a woman named Rachel. No, not Blade Runner, the other one.
Johnny Dangerously (1984) Not very funny for a comedy. A lot of forced attempts at gags that don't land. Even Michael Keaton isn't good here. 90 mins feels way too long. Alien Nation (1988) This movie seems to have been largely forgotten, and that's a shame. It's pretty solid. Good cast, fun concept, solid story. That's a prime example of "giving popular characters their own spin off shows is a bad idea". Losing those characters changed the dynamics and weakened the original, and the spin offs were mostly pretty weak, IMO. |

I'm going to give Lou Grant a try, out of curiosity, because it won a pile of Emmys, but it's in a different genre and I don't love TV dramas so I probably won't go more than four or five episodes in to get a taste of it. I'm not into either Rhoda or Phyllis' characters enough to want to spend time checking those out. I loved Too Close for Comfort/The Ted Knight Show, but that was a different character and more of an original concept than a spinoff. |

It was a spinoff, but from "The Family" sketches on the Carol Burnett show....haven't watched Mama's family in a long, long time. I don't really remember if it was good or not...I remember reruns being on a lot when I lived in the southeast, but didn't go out of my way to watch it.
