Onibaba (1962) - Japanese horror/drama. Two women kill and steal the weapons and armor from traveling soldiers in mid-14th century Japan to survive during a chaotic civil war near Kyoto. Will they survive the appearance of a mysterious traveler who wears the mask of a demon? A little slow in places, but a cool story and shot beautifully in black and white. I liked it.

Don't Deliver Us from Evil (1971) - French horror/drama. Somewhat trashy story about two Catholic school girls who decide they want to dedicate their lives to sin. They're left alone during summer break where they are free to pursue their evil deeds without parental supervision. Marketed in the UK as "The French film banned in France."

Guy Pearce was on top of the world there for a few years during the late 90s and early 00's.

Pearce really carries the film and it's one of Crowe's better performances.

Matrix has a lot of problems but if they were able to get Weaving to reprise his role as Smith it would have made the film a lot better.

The thing that gets me about Resurrections is that despite having a $190 million budget. The action scenes are far inferior to the OT despite having a big budget.

The first movie was made for a fraction of that and had better set pieces. And look Reloaded has it's problems, but that highway chase scene is fantastic to this day.

I watched Resurrections out of morbid curiosity. It was as uninspired as I thought it would be.

At this point, all I need is the first movie.

DVR recording the Saturday Night Live 3 hour special on Hulu Live tonight.

I'll be watching it later. wonder if they'll joke around picking on Jon Lovitz like they did a few years back during one of the Oscars or tv award shows
