What a weird flick! I'm not sure what Hasbro/Sunbow was smoking in '66 but Lady Jaye was being mind controlled, it took about five scientists to do what one Dr. Venom achieved, and the English guy from Knight Rider made a lousy Cobra Commander. Nah. Coburn was too weird for me to enjoy this one. Much prefer him in westerns and the variations of Payback w/ Mel Gibson.

One warning: there are a few of the film adaptations that should be avoided at all costs: Way to Dusty Death, River of Death and the two Detonator films with Pierce Brosnan.

Denotator ... has that anything to do w/PB's Live Wire film? He's done a lot of films that I don't remember. I bookmarked a link to MacLean's series' work in chronological order. Right now my reading list contains about 100-150 books, so...

I double checked the book and the way it's written, it could be referring to the 1988 MB GI Joe connecting puzzle with Falcon, but it's not real clear.

I'd still love to see a G.I. Joe movie animated in Garrido's style (or even the early Marvel run of comics). The quality of the book - as you referenced - is incredible and I'm appreciative to have such a keepsake. It's just not practical - but maybe it shouldn't be! The '80s weren't known for being subtle, after all.

finally watched Deadpool 3 on Disneyplus last night. not bad for a sequel. Nice to see good cameos/returns for Blade and Elektra and Tyler Mane as Sabretooth even though it didn't make sense with him getting his head cut off.
