Just finishing up with the first season of the The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970). Really impressed with it. Talented cast (Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Ted Knight, Gavin MacLeod, Valerie Harper, Cloris Leachman, John Amos as regulars) and the writing is usually great. MTM's part doesn't usually get the best jokes, but she's a solid comedic foil for the supporting cast.
Aside from being really funny, the colors/decor/fashion are fun to look at. 1970 where everything is brown and orange, or light blue. Worth the time if you're into comedies or older TV. |

Harold and the Purple Crayon - Short, funny and sweet. And I am beginning to wonder if Zach Levi is the perfect man playing a kid actor now? Maybe he needs to remake BIG.

I've often hoped that KR and JC will team-up once more before the inevitable - maybe even to reclaim one of the many characters they brought to cult legend status. |

Both of these are great choices. JW had a portion of his lung removed just before filming TSoKE. That's why he wasn't in the water when the brothers were wrestling. DM was really good in it too.
I've often hoped that KR and JC will team-up once more before the inevitable - maybe even to reclaim one of the many characters they brought to cult legend status. I was kind of amused by Elmer Bernstein's theme for the film, since it's not far off from his famous theme for The Magnificent Seven. I'd seen SoKE before, but hadn't remembered that. As much as one part of me would to see KR and JC team up again, the other part of me remembers Escape from LA and shudders at the thought. lol |
