I saw him in a really cool spy movie that aired on TNT called The Rose and the Jackal. It was set during the Civil war and He played Allan Pinkerton working for the Union against the Confederacy.

last good movie he was in was the Village of the Damned Remake movie.

That news movie was Switching Channels. It's a remake of His Girl Friday from 1940 starting Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. Both are very entertaining!!!

yeah I know. I'm just saying that its really weird to see him in a comedy which was Switching Channels where I've been more used to him in his Superman movies and the Village of the Damned movie and that dumb silly 1980s romantic time travel movie with Jane Seymour.

The Sons of Katie Elder (1965) Not the best of John Wayne's westerns, but solid.
The Thing (1982) with Kurt Russell and John Carpenter audio commentary. Not as entertaining as their Big Trouble in Little China audio commentary, but it's still great.

the documentary about the 1990s Island of Dr Mareau movie. I think I tried watching some of the documentary like last year but not sure

Just finishing up with the first season of the The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970). Really impressed with it. Talented cast (Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Ted Knight, Gavin MacLeod, Valerie Harper, Cloris Leachman, John Amos as regulars) and the writing is usually great. MTM's part doesn't usually get the best jokes, but she's a solid comedic foil for the supporting cast.

Aside from being really funny, the colors/decor/fashion are fun to look at. 1970 where everything is brown and orange, or light blue. Worth the time if you're into comedies or older TV.
