Thor

This was a pretty good movie. Chris Hemsworth is an excellent choice for Thor and he definitely put in the work to get his body built up for the role. I miss this version of Thor... Waititi did him dirty in the two films he directed, especially Love and Thunder. Ragnarok wasn't TOO bad, but it definitely planted the seeds.

Tom Hiddleston is excellent as Loki and the rest of the cast is good, as well. I was a bit annoyed that they went with Jane Foster as Thor's love interest, instead of Sif. I know that's accurate to the comics, but I've always preferred the Thor/Sif pairing. The only casting choice I didn't like was Anthony Hopkins as Odin. I like Hopkins, but he looks terribly bored in this role. He clearly didn't care much for it... it was only a paycheck, for him.

The Thing is freakin' awesome. I'll always take practical effects over CGI, even ones that aren't as flawless as Rob Bottin's work on The Thing. Another one of SJC's favorite names is Tawnia/Tanya Baker. There's the A-Team character, one in an episode of Columbo he wrote, and a third use of the name that I think was in Adam-12, but I don't remember for sure.

I've never seen Renegade, so I never realized he had an acting role in it. I'll have to check that show out one of these days.

The thing to remember with Love and Thunder is: Korg's telling the story to a bunch of kids. He's clearly making it funnier and less traumatic for the children. I think the broad strokes happened, but not as comedically as the film shows.
