The storage units he used, were actually torn down when the county redid the West End Circle. Always cracked me up when it gets bulldozed.

And I have seen Waited! Thought it was quite funny. Haven't seen Accepted, but I'll give it a go, even though I can't stand Jonah Hill.

The Hunter (1980) Steve McQueen's last film. Apparently Stan Wojno, who voiced Lifeline, was in it in a small part.

that makes sense. i was really hoping that there was more to this universal monster channel, but it's just showing shit i could already see across my other streaming platforms. they made it out to be the originals, but it's the sequels, knock offs, and newer ones instead (up to john carpenter's the thing - which ive only seen in photos).

And you should definitely watch JC's The Thing. Its reputation is well deserved. I'd rank it as the best movie of 1982, a year which also had fantastic films like Wrath of Khan and Blade Runner. I'd also recommend the 1951 Howard Hawks/Christian Nyby take, The Thing from Another World. They're very different films, but both are excellent. |

So, I'm doing a thing with my movie watching... I've taken all my historical films and put them in order, chronologically, and I'm going to watch them, like that. Now, some films take place over a period of years (or decades), so there will be some overlap, obviously, but I think it'll be a fun experiment. My rules are basically that the film has to include real people, either as the main character, or background characters (in the case of Forrest Gump) and/or include real situations and events, like Platoon and Full Metal Jacket incorporate actual Vietnam battles, even though none of the characters are real people (although Platoon was based on Oliver Stone's experiences, so there's that).
