The Rocketeer (1991) for the millionth time. Because it's awesome.
You Only Live Twice (1967) I wish modern Bond movies were allowed to be this much fun. Maybe now that we're finally rid of Daniel Craig they'll start being good again, but I'm not counting on it. |

We have this movie to thank (or blame) for introducing ninjas to American pop-culture. |

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition (2016) Much better than the theatrical version ... and this movie is connected to how I met my wife. Not that I can ever get her to watch it with me. Marvel fans!

I was glad to read that she was still protective of this movie and didn't want there to be a remake or a sequel because of how special the experience/film remained to her. |

Heck yes. Jennifer Connelly in the 90s is as gorgeous as women get.

Sounds like Night of the Bonds at the SnowCat house. 007 wasn't fun with Craig because he takes himself too seriously. Even when he makes fun of himself, he's pretentious. The Rocketeer, however, is one of the few films that I would consider perfect. Laura is another one. Have you ever watched Hitchcock's Notorious (1946)? Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains. Spy noir at its absolute finest.
Absolutely agreed on the Rocketeer's (and Laura's) perfection. The Rocketeer is definitely in my film top 10. I think I have Notorious, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm not the biggest fan of Cary Grant, I think he always comes across as smarmy and smug. I love North by Northwest despite that, so I can definitely see the same applying to Notorious. I like Ingrid Bergman, too, so I really need to dig out my copy and watch it. Thanks for the recommendation! Yes! Nice to hear someone in Hollywood who gets it! |

The Rocketeer was the first movie I saw in a cinema. It will always hold a special place in my heart because of that.

Every time I hear that name, I immediately think of Career Opportunities and that scene of her on the horse...

I'm not old enough to have seen The Rocketeer in theaters (if Fathom Events or someone like that re-releases it, I'm there) but I do have a ticket stub for it. I bought a copy of the Topps souvenir magazine a year or so back, and the baggie also contained a newspaper clipping with Rocketeer showtimes from a local theater, and someone's ticket stub from when they saw it!
