I still remember the ad for the young Indiana Jones series at the beginning of the VHS tapes for the movies. And also the one for the documentary 'From Star Wars to Jedi' on the OT VHS tapes.

like i said i never cared enough about bond to really have a dog in the fight. if im picking bond im picking dalton. and only because of the fond memories of popping in my vhs rip hbo recording of ghostbusters 2 that had one of the trailers for his bond before the ghostbusters 2 movie. i still see that purple shirt. i cant really watch ghostbusters 2 now on anything but that vhs. it's weird.
I've only seen the movie, a few episodes of the show and heard a bit of the Vincent Price Saint radio show. I haven't had the chance to read any of the books yet. I agree, he's a very fun and interesting character. |

The one I always remember is the "One. Last. Time." ad on the last mid-90s VHS release for the undoctored Star Wars OT.

I think Disney is a horrible company, and I avoid giving them money, but I would absolutely buy that. I have the 08 release of the original versions, but they're not optimized for 16:9 and they're based on old Laserdisc remasters, so a modern remaster of the OG versions of the OT would be awesome.

I have those as well. They're pretty crappy. The first movie doesn't have the Episode IV subtitle. It triggers my OCD. lol

Finally doing an on-topic post, lol.
It's totally the wrong time frame and he's about 5 inches too tall IIRC, but James Arness from the late 50s-early 60s era of Gunsmoke would've been a great Sunbow-style Duke. His demeanor is very similar. Last edited by SnowCat; 03-18-2022 at 04:26 PM.. |
