I can't remember where I heard about this but in 1992 there was going to be a cartoon series based on the Aliens toys that Kenner made in that year. It was called Operation :Alien. Here are some screen shot from it:

They should put this out as a dvd for an Aliens anniversary! and the 'retro-Kenner' figures from Neca!

After seeing the Robocop and Rambo cartoons, no R-rated movie as a cartoon would surprise me. Aliens would actually make a pretty great cartoon series with a group of marines going planet to planet to wipe out Aliens. But the centrifugal force coming from H.R. Giger's coffin from him spinning in his grave may threaten to tear the Earth apart.
