We'll probably see a Ghostbusters 3 in the next few years, given all the recent rumours that it's been picked up by some studio or other. Don't know if it will have Bill Murray in it, though. Murray swore that he'd never work again with Harold Ramis after 1993's Groundhog Day... seems like they had some major fights over creative direction while filming it, which led to a "he is dead to me" type falling out between the two former friends.
What happen between them with Groundhog Day? I never even knew there was a problem

Buckaroo Banzai
Ghandi Cool As Ice (with Vanilla Ice reprising his outstanding, everyman role, of course)

Ok how old are you guys? Seriously? You are throwing out some anchient stuff. And I am 35. I will second Serenity 2, hel just do more series, that show should have had a chance man!
I would also like to see a Second Mr. and Mrs. Smith. "I like it OK?" damn good movie I don't care what anyone says. And honestly I was hoping to see more Ghost Rider movies. And of course it is time to see what happens after Jedi. |

Ever wonder why we get crappy movie sequels to original movies that should have just been left as is? Perfect examples would be Teen Wolf 2, Speed 2, Honey I blew up the Kids, The Fly part 2 and Predator part 2. IMO these are all perfect examples of their predecessors being great stand alone movies and should have been left at just that.
So basically my question is what movies do you guys think could have had a great sequel, but was never made because we were too busy getting these (above mentioned) pieces of crap? For me personally (I might be alone on this one) I think White Men Can't Jump was a great movie for it's time, and could have totally done well with a sequel because of the way it left off. I mean Wesley and Woody had great chemistry and studio execs I'm sure knew that because they did money train together, but that was still kind of a bust. With WMCJ you could have picked up on whether him and Gloria ever found a way to get back together or shown how Wesley and Woody became the new kings of the court and showed them cementing their legacy and having to defend it against a new crop of up and comers. What are your fave movies that never had a sequel? |
