However, one of the elements that he created was based on Phil Spector, who has recently been sentenced to jail because his murderous tendencies were brought to the surface. And since DePalma is now redoing it for Fox (Who really needs the help), it'd be best if he based the villain on Simon Cowell. And NOT have the heroine fall in love with him. (They were missing a Raoul character, what the hell?!) But I still wonder why the hell that Phantom looks like he came out of "Battle of the Planets". I think it was an unintentional design, but I'm kinda hoping they go for more intentional visual kei. In short, just watch for yourself to see how messed up it is.

I'm avoiding "Repo" like the plague...another "Everyone does it" cult film like "Rocky Horror". Of course, anyone heard of "Phantom of the Paradise"? It runs on Fox Movie Channel at times, and it's from the messed up mind of Brian DePalma. However, he was concentrating more on making it a satire on pop music rather than following Leroux's story, just taking elements of it.

Christine I believe is the movie by Stephen King you're thing of.
Anyway, some of my most scariest movies, well, when I was 8 A Nightmare on Elm Street 1 scared the living Christ out of me, due to the Johnny Depp scene. I wouldn't sleep on my actual bed for 2 weeks. Someone posted on here about When a Stranger calls back, Yes the first 10 minutes of that film were crazy. The scene in Terminator 2 were Sarah has the vision of nuclear holocaust is very disturbing and unsettling to me. Clockwork Orange I find to be disturbing but not necessarily scary. Event Horizon I see scared a lot of folks as well as Exorcist, I am religious and I do believe in Demons but I always found that movie kinda funny. and EH well it took place in space so I found myself to be immune to it. Aliens 2 is kinda suspenseful as well as Silence of the Lambs, they both got my blood pumping. Salem's Lot scared me as a child. Child's Play scared me as a kid. As an adult the last movies to give me a jump would have to be The Ring, and The Mist. Not terrifying but there were parts that gave me a start. I think we all know what scene in The Ring I'm talking about. The Stand is mildly scary to me mainly due to the actual theme and plot, and subject matter, like a poster said and I agree, "the plausible is most scary". Translation the truth is always more frightening than fiction. |

Oh, and "Suspiria"...Albert is one of the scariest kill-dren you'll ever see. I swear he must've used his powers to bait that dog into attacking...

SUSPIRIA!!!!
"The only thing more terrifying than the last 12 minutes of Supiria....are the first 92" the movie is 98 minutes long. Brilliant! More of a weird fairytale color opera of weird and creepy that scary.

The Exorcist. I've seen that movie probably a hundred times. No exaggeration. Well, maybe a little, but I have seen it a bunch. To this day it still scares me.
