Im not looking forward to this movie at all. Spiderman looks like crap and based on the fact that every Marvel movie since Cap1 has sucked Im not counting on this being any good. After all whats a civil war movie without ALL the superheroes? I get the fox, disney, universal, sony movie rights deal, but seriously they could at least try and make it close to the comics. Where is Dare Devil?
Spidermans costume will probably be made by Stark. I bet there wont be an iron spider suit. Ill give BatvSuper a chance, but if it sucks too im pretty much done with superhero movies.

The saddest thing about the nitpickiness inherent in geeks is that it often causes them to miss the best shit. Comic geekdom is currently so consumed with Spidey's costume, they totally forgot to dig on the awesomeness that is "Underoos!" LOL
Tell you this much, with each trailer of Cap 3, Bats V. Supes looks more and more like a turd. It's funny, I grew up a DC kid, but now I'm truly appreciating just how interesting the Marvel characters are. They're definitely more likable and the whole universe is more intriguing. The DC films and characters, on the other hand, just don't interest me. And that includes Batman who has always been my favorite. It's weird, but I know I'll be catching the Marvel films at the theatre while Redboxing/Netflixing the DC flicks...if at all. |

The live action DC movies have been sucking, but at least the animated ones are pretty good. I don't care about the little things like costume details, but when you give something a title like "civil war" or "age of ultron" I at least expect it to be somewhat like the comic. Not completely ignoring the source material, this isn't starship troopers for crying out loud. heck can't jj Abrams read a book? I'm just not excited with the way Disney is using the things I grew up with. I don't mind minor changes(some things should be changed lol), but don't let politics change something that has nothing to do with politics.
I guess I'm just a disgruntled geek, but I'd rather be that than be like the ignorant (not calling anyone ignorant here just thinking about people who wiki everything) yes men Disney is producing.

The "underoos!" comment was funny. It really highlights the fact that while everyone else is running around in armor or kevlar, Spidey is out there in spandex. He clearly doesn't go to the same tailor as the rest of the MCU. I really hope Stark has a minimal influence on Parker and his costume. It would really undercut him if Stark was responsible for his web shooters or anything like that.
I'm looking forward to seeing both films, but Batman vs Superman is still tops for me. It's only the second movie in the DC movie universe, kind of early to jump to conclusions. I'm excited to finally see a Batman more in line with what I've always wanted to see: a classic costume, fight scenes that look like a mix of Bruce Lee and Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the arrogance of knowing you're the smartest guy on the planet. |

the only thing I care about BVS for is Wonder Woman finally being in a LA movie. Bit sad her theatrical movie debut was a goddamn Lego movie.
Civil War though, looks fricking awesome. f*** the haters! |
