Because Transformers is related to GI Joe, and Michael Bay is also connected somehow, read what he may do next...

Not everything animated needs to be translated to live action. But having said that- I think visually that Bay would do an amazing job on evangelion. They already have a very organic look, which is what he -unfortunately- translated the TFs into, so I don't think he would change much there. Evangelion is super heavy on military hardware and that is a specialty of Bays' No one does military like him. The biggest worry is the human element, but again- the human element is what he shoves unnecessarily into the TF franchise. Add that his Sam Witwicky was the most annoying and frustrating 'leading man' in a giant robot movie, but THAT is shinji (sp?) to a tee. So if it happens, it might be pretty bad ass... but my main hope woupd be that live action doesn't happen at all for it.

Still, I'd say "no" simply by virtue of the fact that Evangelion is a franchise where the real story runs WAY beneath the surface. It's all weird and psychological and...yeah. Get an David Fincher or Darren Aaronofsky or Christopher Nolan or even David Lynch. Hell, even the Wachowskis would be way better suited to something like this. Bay is just too superficial. The idea of Rei or Askuka being played by lingerie/swimsuit models just...ugh. But you're right, it's highly unlikely Hollywood would ever do this justice. |

Don't feel bad. The guy who directed titanic is supposed to direct Battle Angel Alita. That is terrible and horrifying in my book. The comics are so badass.
