Very impressed with episode 1... the writing was excellent, and the set up left me wanting more.

It really picks up with episode 2. And it's on again tonight (in the US) - one of the few shows that's not on hiatus for Memorial Day.

Spoilers.... Not really, but maybe...
Doing the happy dance. Please let Ethan be who I think he's going to be. I'll be so disappointed if he's not, but still love the show. |

Spoilers...
He clearly has some kind of blackouts/moments of memory loss, which they at first seemed to be attributing simply to drinking. Is it a double bluff? Part of me hopes not, as it would be awesome but another part wants it not to be, as that would be a nice bit of a twist. Another great episode last night, though. After seeing his turn last night, part of me would now like to see Rory Kinnear as The Doctor (he was rumored to be one of the BBC's main choices before they announced Capaldi.) And I just realized where I'd seen Proteus before - he was in The Vampires of Venice.

The twist is my biggest fear. They are obviously trying to lead the viewer down the werewolf path with him (Indians cursed him). I'm also laying down my bet on Miss Croft as the future bride. OMG I just realized he'll be an American Werewolf in London. ;) Yep, you guys are on to something. I'm expecting these things to play out starting with the next episode. At this point I think it sucks that this season will only have 8 episodes. |

I hate the whole 8 episode thing too. It was the same with Black Sails. Can't wait for season 2.

Haven't watched episode 3 yet but have liked what seen so far.
Absolutely love Proteus and was upset at the way ep #2 ended. Whoever played Proteus did an amazing job at conveying the childlook/naïve wonder at a new world. Just an awesome job. Haven't been that moved by a performance in a long time.
