No idea if the movie will be good, but the viral website they've launched for it sure is pretty great!
Trask Industries Poke around there for a bit (particularly in the "media" section) and if your inner (or not-so-inner) comic geek doesn't squee a little bit, you are no true comic fan! |

I love the look of the Sentinels. Looks like they're being retconned into the movie mythology (though it's probably just meant as internet extra) with them guarding Reagan. After all, if they were guarding him they should have had one with the President in X2. Especially at the end of the movie.
The X-Men movies are far enough along now that everyone knows what to expect. I enjoyed "First Class" as I watched it, less so when I stopped to think about it. I wish Matthew Vaughn was directing this one too, since I'm not a fan of Singer. I'm sure I'll still go see it though, might as well since I've seen all the others. I do worry about the cast though. There's just so many people in it, I can't see how they'll be able to find time for them all. If they have to cut the amount of screentime for Halle Berry, it wouldn't be such a bad thing. |

Im looking forward to DOFP big time....I just hope they don't screw it up.
the cast is crowded(but I realise many of these will just be glorified cameos)with the focus likely being in the past....but man Im still excited. I hope Paiges Shadowcat gets decent time and Im looking forward to Peter Dinklage as Trask. |

I'm interested in the take, though after comments made after the first XM:First Class film, I have strong suspicions on the plot:
An X-Men (maybe Wolverine? Prof X himself?) sends their mind/a message back in time to prevent the Kennedy assassination from being blamed on a Mutant, resulting in Trask receiving vast funds from the government. Hence, the "magic bullet" was Magneto redirecting the tragectory in a way to point to Lee Harvy Oswald (maybe he was gunning for Charles Xavier?) I want a cookie if I'm right (or at least appropriate props)

from what's been revealed by Singer tweeting and in interviews, the plot is that 10 years after X3, Sentinels are running around America hunting mutants and that Shadowcat sends Wolverine back to 1970 (10 years after First Class) and that he's then trrying to thwart the Sentinels in the '70s.

I try to avoid reading too much about movies before I see them (then look for every scrap of triva after I've seen them), but from what I did see, it reminded me of an episode of "Lost". The one where Desmond's conciousness is bouncing back and forth between the present and a few years earlier, and he was able to do things in the past to set up some help for the problems he was having in the present (one of my all time favorite hours of television). I think Professor X is able to do the same conciousness bounce with Wolverine, since he was alive and well in both times. I hope they can make it work.

So is Wolverine going to be more than just a cameo this time around?

Yep, he should have a good sized role. At least he won't have to split screentime with another actor playing his older self like Magneto and Professor X will.
