***Spoiler Alert***
I liked everything about the movie except for the cliffhanger ending. I always liked how PJ was able to end FOTR, TT, and AUJ. He ended it during lull's of events in the book. That way, he can start the next movie with a flashback or different thread. Now he is more inclined to do a "last time on ..." start. I really wish he would have spent less time having the dwarves kill the dragon (which is not in the book) and show Bard kill the Dragon. I guess there wasn't enough material for a 3rd movie if they killed the dragon during DOS. I could see stopping the movie after the dragon was submersed in gold, giving the feeling that a task has been accomplished. Then in the 3rd movie, they can show Smaug melting the gold, and attacking Laketown. Otherwise, I loved the movie. I like the look of the non-digital Bolg better(seen for 2 seconds during the Moria flashback war scene in AUJ), but I see why they changed it up. They also didn't establish that Bolg is Azog's son. Oh well. I guess, I'm having too much nerd rage when I really shouldn't have any at all as I was very entertained during this movie.

I like it. Tauriel and Legolas were my fav.
I havnt read the books in years not since grade school (im 31). Legolas was not even in the book right? He seemed more dry in this movie then the LORD movies with very little personality.

Both of them were not in the book and Taurial is completely made up. I did likethem though. They sure did kick ass.
I like how they set up the Chinese forbidden love story being that she is a lesser elf, and cannot be with her first love.

Im notlike a die hard fan so dont know the major ins and outs of it. Why did they kind of make a big deal when legolas bled from his nose?

And he's probably going to give Tauriel the third degree for not backing him up there and causing his win streak to get tarnished. |

I loved it too, it pulled me in more than AUJ did. I enjoyed Tauriel and Legolas too, great action scenes too. The barrel ride was much more interesting than the book as the barrels were open, a good choice by PJ.

I liked the barrel scene too. Thought those elves on the wall should have put more of a fight though.
