Is this show bad enough to hate watch? Dexter only has one more terrible episode left, which will leave a hole in my dreadful show line up.

There's only one episode out. I would hate to judge based on just ONE episode. I try to give a series 3 episodes to either win me or lose me. BSG 2004 lost me, and that was a mistake, because later I accidently tuned in and WOW, i HAD to go back and catch-up.

It's not that it's corny-bad or eye-rolling bad (and as Falconhood says, you can't pass too much judgement based on the pilot alone) but it's just very un-engaging. I felt like I was sitting in a room listening to a load of teenagers talking about three different totally awesome dude like whatever horror movies they'd watched and they were all awkwardly explaining the thinnest, most unoriginal of plots all at the same time, each getting louder and more insistent that their's was the way best awesomest movie ever.
The key to good supernatural horror is restraint. This had none.

It did feel like a 90s show a bit. But I'll give it a few more tries

This show is like fan fiction written by a 13-year old who's just assimilated every telefantasy show ever.

I've seen a few episodes, and it's just a rehash of stuff that's been done better before. The four horsemen, the apocalypse, even the Roanoke colony being taken out by a supernatural illness was all previously done on Supernatual.
