He would be good. A lot of character actors would be great in the part. I kind of think they'll go for a big name though. Man of Steel wasn't a huge hit, and Affleck is no guarantee of bringing in any more money. The concept of having Superman and Batman in the same movie is what will make it more money than MOS. I think Leonardo DiCaprio would make a great Lex, but he just played a villain in "Django Unchained" last year, and this would be sort of a repeat. Can't see him wanting to do sequels either.
The only wrong choice they could make would be somebody like Sam Worthington or Gerard Butler. Meatheads that can't hide their accents. Friggin' Marvel has already used up so many actors that I'd like to see as Lex (Willem Dafoe, Nic Cage, Guy Pearce, Michael Fassbender). But I guess they used Affleck too, so anything is possible. I could see why some would like Norton for the role. While I don't like him in anything, he is someone that is easily believable as a smart guy in any movie. His little hissy fits have always irked me though. Like how he has to do his own rewrite of movies he's in, then when everything doesn't go his way he pouts and refuses to promote the movies.
I'd love to see Nicolas Cage get in crazy shape like he did for the first Ghost Rider and finally have the guts to shave his head for the role. The wigs and dye aren't fooling anybody. Somebody else that came to mind as I wrote that was John Travolta. If he could get in the shape he was in for "Basic", he'd be perfect. He just can't be pudgy like he has been lately. He's just got that look, the politician's smile. I almost forgot that he'd been a Marvel villain too (The Punisher). |

yeah Travolta was Howard Saint in the Punisher.since that movie was based so heavily on Welcome Back Frank I dont know why they didnt use the fantastic character of Ma Gnucci.
Angelica Houston would have been AWESOME as Ma. |

Emerging Star Gal Gadot Set To Play Wonder Woman In ‘Batman Vs. Superman
/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7Zmk9ZmlsbDtoPTMwNTtweW9mZj0wO3E9Nz U7dz0yNzU-/http://media.zenfs.com/en_US/News/Deadline.com/wonderwoman__131204173641-275x305.jpg Emerging Star Gal Gadot Set To Play Wonder Woman In BREAKING: Warner Bros and Zack Snyder have found their Wonder Woman. They’ve cast Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot in the iconic role and she will be part of Batman Vs. Superman, the film that will see Henry Cavill square off with Ben Affleck. Gadot has been in three Fast & Furious films, as well as Knight And Day and Date Night. Given that Warner Bros has bolstered its starpower with Affleck and has Cavill returning from the summer hit Man Of Steel, it makes sense to groom new stars in the supporting roles, the way that Marvel has done. All this is clearly gearing toward the long-awaited Justice League film, all based on the DC Comics characters. Said Snyder: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.” She looks like Diana, but can she act? Anybody familiar with her work?

an absolutely dreadful choice.atrocious in fact.
I must stress that I NEVER commit to hating on casting choices like this I will always reserve judgment until I see the movie..but I feel VERY strongly that this is extremely poor casting. I thought this actress was horrible in the F&F movies.but I shouldn't be surprised really.....the fact that WB were seriously considering Olga fucking Kuryenko for the role torpedoed my hopes for good casting here. whats worse is the actress that should have walked into the role of Diana is actually in this movie and wasn't considered.that person being Jamie Alexander......she has the stature, looks, can act and just screams WW. very disappointing news to me indeed. |

I don't have anything disparaging to say against the actress. I hope she does a good job and she does look beautiful and exotic.
I am disappointed that they're filling what was supposed to be a Man of Steel sequel with more characters. Now even more time will be taken away from Kal-El's story to spend time on Batman and Wonder Woman. On the one hand, I think Batman's origins and reason for being have been done to death. Hopefully he's a fully realized presence from the beginning of the film. Conversely, I don't see how a movie about Batman and Superman can devote the time and energy to Wonder Woman that she deserves. I worry that she will be treated like a Black Widow (B-list character) rather than the #3 character of the DC stable that she is.

Never seen or heard of her before. Doesn't seem like an impressive choice. Going to be hard to buy her as a formidable fighter unless she puts in a hell of a lot of training (Then again, Diana may not have any actual fight scenes in the film. Who knows?).
Jamie Alexander would have been a good choice, but she might not have been able to commit to Diana because filming of future movies beyond this one might have conflicted with the likely Thor 3. |

Wow! I didn't even know she was up for the role. I thought she was okay in the Fast 4,5, and 6. I am puzzled by the choice though, because she doesn't realyl fit what I thought Wonder Woman should look like, but that's my personal feeling on the matter. She must have blown them away when she read for the part. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Affleck as Batman? OK, yeah, I'm willing to give that one a shot. This girl as Wonder Woman? It's gonna take a lot of convincing. Plus, if the other rumors are true, this movie's getting awfully crowded. Like it's turning into a pseudo Justice League movie without actually being a Justice League movie. Unless, of course, Warner Brothers has pulled one of the biggest bait-and-switch maneuvers in movie history and this actually IS a Justice League movie and they haven't announced it yet (Remember the film doesn't have an official title yet). |

I dunno. I fear this may very much be a case of "looks hot, works cheap" where Warner Brothers is concerned.
