I'm not sure if it is considered a straight-up horror or not, but my wife and I watched From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) over the weekend. That's a fun one.

I saw a spanish film called "Venus" that is a loose adaptation of HP Lovecrafts the witch house. It may not be out yet but if it might come out soon on Netflix. It is an epic horror film by the guy who did Rec and Veronica. In fact it is set in the Veronicaverse and its kind of a sequel or prequel to it. If you are gonna be into the Evil Dead Rise then you'll love this. Similar type of deal of horrific shit in a delapitated apartment building involving a demonic single mom, her stripper sister on the run, a bunch of gangsters coming after the stripper and then everyone getting what they deserve.

sort of watched the Lake Placid sequel movie marathon on Sy Fy Channel the other day.

There sure are alot of Bickerman family members in the Lake Placid movies. Betty Davis's Delorese, Cloris Leachman's Bickerman, Colin Ferguson as the only good guy Bickerman and then there's Robert Englund as the last Bickerman relative so far

I love a good horror film, though it seems only chicks survive anymore. My particular favorites are military horror, though usually most everyone dies which sucks.
