The coolest Brave/Bold episode was that Green Lantern Corps episode with Sinestro. This is a great cartoon because old and young can both enjoy it - like JLU except a lot "sillier" - if that's even the right word. I've been really digging those DCU straight to DVD PG-13 features, too. DC has a waaay better handle on their animation than Marvel to be sure.

The last really good cartoon I saw was the series of Batman's before the Brave and the Bold. Yeah, the series that got cancelled, as they all do I suppose. It was a lot better than advertised and the only real blemish for me was the B. Wayne parts weren't as well written or from the comics as I remember them. Clone Wars is decent too, but the animation gets old after awhile and all the Jedi stuff. That being said, haha, I do like how you get to see some stories involving the Jedi's that were in the trilogy as "backdrops" and never got to learn anything about.

Hey, Viper 48, don't worry my oldest (5 now) grew up on Care Bears and is now a die-hard Joe fan, 'sides, if he likes it asmuch as the pic shows it'd be inhumane to take it away...lol.
As far as cartoons go I agree with everyone else as far as "modern" toons, but I would add the Ben 10 cartoons. My oldest loves them and from what i'v managed to see they seem to be one of the better choices we have available nowadays. But we can never outdue the classics such as Voltron/Thundercats Silverhawks/Marshal Bravestar/Dinosaucers/ect. Not to "plug" but if you want good cartoons use Youtube and look up 80's cartoons, we don't have anything like them anymore and the world is worse for it IMO... |
