Went to see it last night at midnight.
I love the music, gave the movie an interesting feel. Many things were left out, but the bulk of it is there. I though it was very well done, and well acted. Nixon was freakin hilarious! BTW, LL, I have watched the motion comic DVD. Love it. I have also read the comics as well. The movie does it justice. Can't wait to see it in IMAX!!

actually, it is a large part of the dr. manhatten character, you see he doesnt wear clothes most of the time to show that he is disconnected from society, not to mention he changes in size so its not like they make 4 story bugle boy jeans!
the music drives the film hard sometimes other times it removes you, but i think that is more to the point, at some points in the movie it is very subtle, like the scene where ozymandias is talking to the heads of the car companies, in the back ground if you listen they are playing tears for fears 'everybody wants to rule the world< that is a real added 'touch". it is very true to the book, although a few of the "journal entries" were left out,(including my favorite) and the over all changes they did make really drove the movie, I think in a way some of them even made it a little better but I do not think it will be widely accepted by the public. |
