I'm gonna skip ahead, only because Freddy VS Jason takes place before Jason X technially.
Freddy VS Jason Spurred by the final scene of JGTH Freddy uses a resurrected Jason to scare up the children of Elm St. The concept is that the children of Springwood no longer remember, or dream of Freddy thanks to the drug hypnocyle which suppresses dreams. Hence Freddy is no longer a threat. With Jason killing the children of Elm St, old rumors of Krueger begin to resurface. And fear spreads like wildfire. Now the residents are no longer safe awake from Jason, and asleep from Freddy....only problem is Jason is horning in on Freddys kills, and he just won't stop killing. Which leads to the battle of the century. Jason and Freddy kick the crap outta each other on the dream plane, while the kids of Springwood desperately try to get unconcious Jason to Crystal Lake, where the battle will be a little more even. As the battle moves from the dream plane to real world Jason and Freddy shed more blood than you can believe. The winner? You. Sure Jason ends up coming out with Freddy's decapitated head in hand, but it winks at you, signifying that you the audience got exactly what you wanted. A Balls to the Wall bloodfest fight. Enjoyable, very watchable I highly recommend it. |

Jason X
I have a soft spot for this film. Yes it lacks, yes it's pretty crappy, but if you turn off your sense of reality, and just realize that at this point Jason movies are no longer scary, but an escapist form of entertainment. Sure campy and silly most of the time now, but fun none the less you'll enjoy this flick alot more. Essentially Jason and the director of the facilty that is studying him pull a Buck Rodgers, and get frozen in an underground facility. Jason is in the process of escaping it, when the director leads him there, and there's an accident freezing both of them. Okay jump ahead a little bit, okay alot to like the 25th Century. Wait a minute this IS the plot to that Gil Gerad show..... Jason Voorhees in the 25th Century!!!! Holy crap now that I think about it Erin Grey was in Jason goes to Hell. Weird huh? Anyway. Earth goes to hell, and is abondoned in the future when an intergalactic school trip comes to Earth and find him and the director frozen. One thaw later the same old chase is one. Only this time Jason don't fair too well. He's shot to hell via a severly upgraded andriod Kay Em 14. That should be it, but our boy Jason is lucky enough to be reconstructed via malfuntioning nanotechnology. Evil gets an upgrade. I asked you before what's better than Jason being a Unstoppable Retarded Killing Machine? Now I ask you what's better than Jason being a Unstoppable Retarded Zombie Killing Machine? I give you Uber Jason The Unstoppable Retarded Zombie CYBORG Killing Machine! Yeahhhhh baby that is sweet! Anyway he kicks some serious ass, but you know fans.....I want a happy ending......puke Anyway this time they end up droping Jason through reentry to kill the som a bit! Say what you will I liked this one. It even made fun of how campy these flicks have gotten. I recommend it, you might be disapponted, but I liked it! |

Where does this go from here?
Well it seems Jason like Freddy, and Michael Myers, and Pinhead, Tom Cruise and a few others never truely stay dead, not even poor box office can kill them. There have been rumors about anothe Freddy Vs Jason flick, and to be honest I think that is possible, considering FvsJ made more money than Wes Craven's New Nightmare, and Jason X made combined. Do we need it? Not really, but the sucess of the first FvsJ has spawned debate that another charcater be tossed into the mix. Freddy vs Jason vs Micheal Myers? Not likely since Myers is owned by Dimension films. Similar issue arise from things like Chucky, or Pinhead. I likely imagine another round of FvsJ. But with Rob Zombie's Halloween coming out soon, it's not unthinkable that if that reimagining of that property does well, that New Line won't consider a restart of Jason, and Freddy as well. Hell it worked well for 007. |

Nice job with the reviews! For the most part, it's just awesome "bad" horror, the best kind! My favorites are Part 2 and Jason vs Freddy, which I had been waiting for since about age 9 and couldn't believe it when they actually made it. I definitely agree that Jason Takes Manhatten is pure crap, but I wasn't partial to Jason X. Just couldn't get into the space thing.
