Someone good always dies in someone elses arms with their face
intact, or is completely atomized so there's nothing gruesome to see. Here's 2 that affected the way we played as kids: Bad swordfights where it looks like they are just trying to beat up each others' weapon. Scenes, usually filmed head-on in a set or on the back of a trick, showing someone driving. Does anyone really trash the wheel around like that while driving down a straight, peaceful road? Have these actors ever driven before? |

Ha!
I'll give Jones credit for attempting to not drive like a maniac. The scenes are pretty convincing, its a shame an error in post wrecked it all! Unless they were on the back of a flatbed, in which case he can't drive or play Two-Face to my satisfaction. |

It doesn't really bug me since it doesn't happen often enough, but you know how in some movies where some guy's in the jungle, and then chops a vine with his machete to drink from it like it was a dripping faucet? Billy does it in the first Predator movie, IIRC. Doesn't really work that way. You have to cut a deep notch above where you cut the vine for the water to flow out of it, otherwise, capillary action will just keep the water inside the vine.

I used to surf; so the surfing scenes in Point Break bugged the hell out of me. LOL. You would see Keanu catch the break one way and in the very next cut he is going the other way... so irritating. LOL.
And Days of Thunder and Talladega Nights kind of bugged me too... not very realistic in regards to Nascar rules. Plus, I still never got over how Herbie could have possibly passed Nascar inspection to actually race in Herbie Fully Loaded. LOL. |

I don't know if this was mentioned already. In the third X-Men movie they are on a bridge and it's light out. When they get to the other side it's dark out. That's one long bridge or Pheonix was playing with time.

How the guy supposedly can get the hot girl walking on the street to go all the way by just giving her a ride in a van, or how the dad can get the baby sister to have relations with him just because he caught her wearing his wife's clothes and jewelry (oh and there's no kid/baby anywhere for her to sit), and how the hot lady boss calls the worst performing sales person into her office and gives him multiple "jobs" as an incentive to do better instead of firing him.

I hate it when CPR is done on TV or in the movies. They do it for 30 seconds and one of two things happens: the person wakes up and thanks the person for saving their life, or the person doing CPR says, "They're dead" and gives up.

My big thing with films is impossible feats.
Don't get me wrong, I perfectly understand that for the most part most of movies are improbable. Yes I know John McClaine in Die Hard would die jumping from an exploding helipad using a firehose...but it at least SEEMS in the realm of possible. Now barrel rolling your car and knocking off a bomb with a crane hook (Transporter 2)...that don't even come close to possible. Standing on a sword blade being held 4ft off of the ground (Kill Bill). Not even close. Driving 100mph sliding the car sideways with the door open and scoping up a passanger (Wanted)...nope. Now I will allow exceptions if the story explains it away with in movie reason. Wade Wilson deflecting bullets with his swords (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) explaination he's a Mutant. The Matrix, is a great example it sets rules that make the impossible possible. |
