The human and Cylon races face extinction, and they quarrel over relationships and take time to be passive/aggressive. Even robot women...

I'm thinking Virtual Six is a transmission controlled by Cavil now, to manipulate Baltar into situations to frak up the human race.

Am I wrong to want a cliched "final battle" between Galactica, the rebel Baseship, and Cavil's forces?

Agreed. It also seemed to be filled with symbolic foreshadowing. The miscarriage of the pure cylon baby, cylon tech saving Galactica, Ellen's character arc through this episode; all seem to be pointing to the fact that the two races need each other to survive.

Ellen has always been "pretty poison" to everyone and everything around her, and it's not changed at all since the revelation (same with Tori it seems). Also, the character Saul Tigh seems even more true to himself since finding out he's a Cylon than ever before and I think he's one of my faves (same with Galen Tyrol). Adama and Roslin are also fantastic, and seeing Apollo walk the line between the military and governmental branches has been great. The final fate of Boomer will be something to see as well.

I hate that the show is ending, but hope that some of the rumours of a couple of movie follow-ups actually shakes out. Also looking forward to Caprica in the hopes that it will answer some questions as well.

Predictions: The piano player is Daniel.

The ship is about to come apart while Boomer and Tyrol are in their fantasy world, and the episode will end with her getting sucked out into space or something (a parallel to Cally's death).
