Anybody else watch the season 6 opener "The Impossible Astronaut" last nite? Spoilers.....
Pretty intense episode, Amy being pregnant was surprissing but not shocking. Some are thinking the person in the spacesuit that kills the Doctor is River, but i'm thinking it's actually the little girl that's in spacesuit at the end of the episode. And i think the little girl is Amy's future daughter, but i could be wrong. Will find out next week. Also it was cool seeing Mark Sheppard from Battlestar Galactica as Canton. Romo Lampkin was one of my favorite characters on BSG. |

I'm surprised they had it premiere in America a day before Britain. I don't know if they will continue that trend. I don't have BBC America, but you can usually find the episodes online within hours of it premiering in Britain, so it makes no real difference to me. Incidentally, NPR ran a short bit on Doctor Who, commenting that Doctor Who is the third most download television show, most likely because of the delay in the America broadcast. So that is probably why they are synchronizing the broadcasts this season.

Interesting idea. Her pregnancy surprised me too...I'm wondering if she's known for a while or just assumed because of the nausea...because wasn't she drinking wine with everyone at the beginning of the episode?
I had forgotten he was on BSG until my brother reminded me. I know him best as Crowley from Supernatural and Badger from Firefly, both great characters. And still remember fondly his appearance in X-Files as the pryokinetic. So that is probably why they are synchronizing the broadcasts this season. so i re-watched it and i did a slo-mo (i have no life) when the astronaut lifts up it's visor right before he blast matty and i think it's the alien that's in the suit. i could kinda make out a lower jaw and it looked non-human but i could be wrong. i think they changed things up with doctor who on bbc america because it had great ratings for them last year. and i think they, and not the regular bbc, funded the whole shoot in the united states. i guess they also figured if were paying for all this we should be able to air it the same day and not 2 months behind. i'm the biggest x-files fan and i totally forgot he was on x-files. infact i still don't quite remember him. that's what happens when a shows been off for 10 years. |
