anybody that is unhappy with the way the latest Indy film turned out can solely blame Lucas...not only that, but if they make a 5th, he wants to F-up that one too...why, oh why, do people like to screw up the good things they already have going?...TOOLS!
"If I can come up with another idea that they like, we'll do another. Really, with the last one, Steven wasn't that enthusiastic. I was trying to persuade him. But now Steve is more amenable to doing another one. Yet we still have the issues about the direction we'd like to take. I'm in the future; Steven's in the past. He's trying to drag it back to the way they were, I'm trying to push it to a whole different place. So, still we have a sort of tension. This recent one came out of that. It's kind of a hybrid of our own two ideas, so we'll see where we are able to take the next one." see what an ego gets you...thinking your ideas are the best, when in fact they are not... link below to whole article... I like Spielberg's idea to keep it the way they were. If it work's don't try to fix it. George Lucas' idea for Indiana Jones 3 is proof he shouldn't have total control over it, if not for Spielberg we'd have Indiana Jones stuck inside a haunted house instead of The Last Crusade.
Hopefully Spielberg can keep Lucas from messing up the Indiana Jones franchise. I hope he keeps him from making Mutt the main character and Indiana Jones just as a supporting character/co-star like was reported a few months back.

I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down! |

well at some point indy is gonna have to retire..i mean harrison is pretty old and lets face it NO ONE can take on the role of indy himnself so at some point there will have to be a torch passing, i just wish it was with a better actor than lebeouf. So many better choices out there i can tell you. lets hope mutt is revealed NOT ot be his true sone and a new actor is chosen to replace indy's "son". not likely i know but one can hope :>

replacing Harrison is a much better idea than Indiana Jones son. last I checked, the appeal of the movies were Indiana Jones. make a Indiana Jones without Indiana Jones and what is the point.
and, yeah, the last movie sucked and all I could think while watching it is that Spielberg just didn't seem that interested. I guess he wasn't, and it showed. |

Lucas wanted the whole film to be about the alien stuff and Spielberg and Ford talked Lucas into tuning down the alien stuff. Considering the time period, the last movie took place in, the alien concept worked, as that was what was going on at the time.

well lets face it...as an archeologist at some point hes going to come into conatct with something not of this world. I mean the myans, the pyramids, etc etc. all things that at oen point or another were bleieve to have been constructed by aliens so it wasnt too horrid of a film to watch with the aliens concept. i liked it, i just didnt care for lebeouf

I saw the movie. Sure, it wasn't my favorite Indy movie of the 4, but I think there is a good movie in there somewhere, it's just buried below a few layers of cheese
