That's exactly what I didn't like about it. What if you love comic book super hero movies but HATE gritty crime dramas? Then you're pretty much screwed like I was!

I lost interest in Batman back in the early 90s and never even bothered to watch Batman Begins.

imo ledger didnt actually do a good portrayel of the joker. he came off as a psychopath, not a psycopath having fun.

Those complaining about the Joker's personality, I don't see where you are coming from because the character is someone who is involved in crime. The previous versions of the Joker were suited for their time frames but did nothing to let me believe they were evil (which is what most criminals are) and Ledger did a FANTASTIC job with his character IMO.
I will agree with Bale's performance but with the cast he had, Batman didn't need to be the star of the movie. It was an incredible movie and one of the best I have ever seen. And it was not the Joker who killed Bruce Wayne's parents LOL at least in any version of Batman I have seen or read about.

just saw it today. WOW what a awesome movie! Ledger's (RIP) Role Imo was good not Great. I think his untimely death has everyone focusing on his performance in the film, I'm not downing him to me its just not Oscar worthy. I liked two-faces Build up and Role in the film, all in all this is a GREAT SUMMER FLICK! if you love batman CHECK this movie out! you won't be disappointed!

I wonder if Mattel would make a Movie Masters Two-Face figure?.Great movie first 1/3 of the movie was just a little stretched out too much but could deal with it after all with higher ticket prices I actually expect longer epics.I was just excited about seeing the Terminator Salvation trailer with Christian Bale. This guy just revived two of my favorite movie franchises

Joker to Batman
"I AM YOUR FATHER" Batman replies: "SO AM I" Technically he is right... because.. Joker created batman when he killed his parents... and then Batman created Joker when he hit him with the acid..... so therefore... they created each other the yin to the yang..... one can't exist with out the other :P |

[QUOTE=gunslingercbr;209944]loved it. what impressed me the most is that it never attempts to be a super-hero or comic book movie. it is a gritty crime drama inhabited by comic characters. it is simply brilliant.
QUOTE] The bat-mobile, the Bat Pod, Batman, Joker, Two-face, The bat signal, The secret Identity..The Fracking over the top Villians? I’m confused, what part to you was not a comic book or super hero film? Anyway I loved it. It was brilliant. |
