I don't know if it started yet, I think next Tues the 17th (?) but I saw the commercials.
No way could it ever top the Looney Tunes that generations of us grew up with...but I'll tell ya, the gags seemed pretty funny and the animation looked great. I'll def watch this...anyone else? |

The voices being close but slightly off from what I grew up with is a little hard to get used to, but i'll sure give it a shot.

I watched this with my daughters this weekend and they loved it. What made it even better was that they aired several classic Warner Bros. cartoons in between and my daughters were hooked right away. I don't think I've seen the old stuff on tv in a longo time.

I saw the commercials and was a little excited about it, but I didn't really get a lot of laughs out of the episode I saw. I'll give it more time, I think.
It can't possibly compare to the original, but I'm hoping it can still be good. |

Oh man, I can't even.
I didn't even grow up watching the Looney Tunes of my dad's generation, I grew up watching the Looney Tunes of my *grandmother's* generation. People stare at me blankly because I say things like 'is this trip really necessary?' during chase scenes. I mean, I still also watched later ones. Anything from the birth of the theatrical shorts through maybe the sixties, good stuff, but... I don't like the weird, smoothed-out animation, all of the characters are so off-model! And the subtle off-ness in the voices as well... And it looks like there's a freaking premise, like there's continuity from one episode to the next. Strikes me as not right. If it so happens that the show is good and people other than me enjoy it, that's great, but... I don't think I can come around to watching it myself.
