Two episodes in, and it's still surpassing my expectations. There are little things that are bothering me (particularly where the Dany/Drogo relationship is concerned) but overall I'm very, very impressed.
Standouts in this episode: Prince Joffrey: It takes a lot for an actor that young to actually pull off a little bit of subtlety in a role that could easily turn into a massive ham-fest. Still, he managed to get across the "facade" well enough that it was easy to see how he could prey on Sansa's naivete. Tyrion: Unsurprisingly, Peter Dinklage continues to own the screen. Every second he's in-frame is gold, so far. Particularly loved his interaction with his family at the breakfast table (and how his younger niece and nephew clearly adore him despite his siblings' distaste). Ned and Robert: Not too surprising here, either, but these two are totally selling the Ned/Robert relationship to me. Two old friends, both of whom would rather be somewhere else, trapped by duty and forced to "grow up." Bonus points to Sean Bean for the brief sequences where Jon Snow's mother is brought up. |

Man, not having HBO is KILLING me. I absolutely love the books and this series is shaping up to be brilliant. I just hate having to wait for downloads...

Watched part 2 last night. I'm coming to accept that it's not going to be the books verbatim. I really enjoyed it last night. My wife is getting into it too. She keeps asking me questions and doesn't believe me that I don't always know the answer because I'm only into Book 2.

Another great episode. I am liking the pacing of this show among other things. I can't wait for the next episode.

Honestly, I can't stand HBO. It's a crapass network for the most part., but it seems like every now and then they have something that catches my interest. This has definitely caught my attention, and I'm enjoying it alot. Almost as much as I did Deadwood.

Never read the books, but I loved the first two episodes so far. Looks like this is going to be a great series.

I wasn't sold until I saw the episode where the kid caught the two people banging and then got pushed out of the tower window.

Plus the two people banging were brother and sister. Two words: cha ching. Honorable mention goes to the blonde Olsen twin look alike who the Director just wants to show naked all the time. Hopefully, we get to see her straddling the Attila the Hun Dude; I haven't seen a chick split open since the last Lexington Steele video I saw a few months back
